“Hot mess express” it’s tag lined on graphic Ts, it’s hash tagged into the 100 of thousands, it’s owned by the most authentic women I know.
I see it’s purpose. It’s to say “I’m not perfect.” It’s to say “I may look put together and my kids may be dressed to match me, but it took a war to get it done, and you should see what my house looks like.” Or “don’t mind my yoga pants and hot bun, I haven’t done laundry in two weeks and I haven’t showered in 3 days, but my kids look great.”
Believe me. I get it ladies. But we’re claiming chaos with this slogan. We’re claiming loss of control. We’re claiming disorganization and confusion. And while I totally get it. I’m a mama of two kiddos a mere 16 months apart. But it’s time we stand united in our hearts desire for order. It’s time we claim organization. It’s time we claim schedule and routine and simplification.
I walk life alongside some incredible women and more and more during my coaching and coffee convos I hear the desire for balance. I hear this call for equilibrium in the waves of life. My own life journey in the past 3 years has shifted from #hotmessexpress (though the struggle is real) toward focus on mind-body-soul alignment. And what I’ve learned fundamentally in this search and practiced effort is that without our internal balance our external homes, relationships and responsibilities will never be fully in balance.
The question still remains “how”!?!? And while this concept has different answers across the multitudes, the beginning path is the same….
We have to claim it with our mouths to remind our minds to move our hearts!!!
If you’re looking for help on how to expand these concepts – let’s chat…through CORE and upcoming events with #fitinfaith my heart is to illuminate your inner ability to be balanced! We’re all on the same journey…they may look different…but let’s not isolate ourselves to think we’re the only unbalanced one – we’re all trying together…me included! A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight.
